Abstract

Hello everyone

Fall3D latest version has been implemented on our 540 core supercomputer to calculate how much and where ash would fall.

Daily wind data is automatically fetched from USA National Weather Service, ´NASA DEM is used for topography.

https://www.volcanturrialba.org

Results are presented as animations over a map showing different motifs: water sources, main rivers, main highways, main airports, and administrative regions. Maps may be added on demand.

The site has now been active for about a year as an educational tool for common people to prepare for new eruptions, as well as to keep track of those already in process

We encourage comments to help us improve our work

Thanks
